Job Title: Stock Manager | Warehousing

Overview: Join a leading player in the non-alcoholic ready-to-drink market in Africa, prioritizing excellence in stock management and logistics operations. We are seeking a seasoned Stock Manager to lead and optimize our warehousing division.
Key Purpose Statement: As the Stock Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the control of stock within the Logistics Warehousing division, ensuring compliance with risk management requirements and stock management processes. This is a critical role that directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Outputs and Accountabilities:
Stock Management and Reconciliation:
- Ensure all stock transactions are accurately accounted for, with system inventory levels reflecting physical stock.
- Analyze the stock management environment to identify critical risks and propose process redesigns.
- Execute management and control of finished goods inventory and support regional teams in stock management.
Document Management and Reporting:
- Monitor daily variances and prepare weekly reports to manage proof of delivery and customer queries.
- Investigate and resolve customer-related stock issues in a timely manner.
Managing Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure adherence to stock management practices and operational standards.
- Oversee audit documentation and Sarbox procedures, ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
- Implement standard stock counting procedures across all warehouse facilities to maintain quality assurance.
Drive Performance Improvement:
- Conduct daily stock counts to optimize reporting accuracy.
- Identify and prioritize performance improvement opportunities through KPI analysis.
- Lead performance improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
People and Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and engage your team to achieve high performance and quality outputs.
- Foster collaboration with distribution, production, external customers, and sales as needed.
- Align team activities to optimize processes and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Logistics, Transport, Business Management, or Finance is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Stock Manager or Inventory Manager in reputable large retail or FMCG companies.
- Proficiency in logistics software systems, with Microsoft Dynamics being non-negotiable.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, stock loss investigations, and management.
